ORGANIZATIONS
Holy Name School Committee
The Holy Name School Committee is an elected and appointed group of parents which helps the administration and school to ensure quality Catholic Christian education. Its nature is contributory and advisory. They reflect the mood and position of our school community.
Parent Service Organization (PSO)
The PSO’s purpose is to assist the school administration and faculty in providing the best Christian educational program for our students. Voluntary services, social activities and fundraisers are presented throughout the year in an effort to facilitate this purpose and to create a community atmosphere.
Some of the event highlights include our Welcome Back Breakfast, Parent Orientation Night, New Family Welcome Supper, Octoberfest/Auction & Casino Night (which is the school’s largest fundraiser event), Father/Daughter Dance, Mother/Son Bowling, Father Burke Fun Run, Birmingham Fair, Field Day, Skating Party, apple orchard/pumpkin patch/hay ride outing and much more!
Join PSO and get involved … it’s your child’s/children’s future!
Hurricane Club
The Hurricane Club is responsible for organizing all Holy Name School athletics. The Club is responsible for setting policies, providing funding, assisting the coaching staffs and fielding of the various teams.
The Hurricane Club offers students the opportunity to participate in football, volleyball, track, soccer, basketball, baseball and softball. The sports teams are open to 5th through 8th graders. 3rd and 4th graders may participate in an intramural basketball program in the spring.
Any child in Holy Name Parish who participates in a sport and his/her parents belong to the Club, which is run by parent volunteers. There are no dues. However, there are fees for each sport to offset the costs of running the sports.
